Peter Anthony Bella

Attorney Bella had represented me in 1988 on a pro bono basis. I was a teenager living in poverty, falsely accused, facing a life time in jail in what people deemed an unwinnable case. Peter was kind, supportive and had done extremely well by me given the overwhelming number of cases such as mi...ne as well as the mass hysteria in that and even present day. He since has always made time for me when I need advice stemming from the original case. Please keep in mind that attorneys do not have a magic wand that can make everything ok. Our judicial system is extremely flawed to say the least. If a prosecutor doesn't convict then they will soon be out of a job. All plea bargains are convictions and that looks good on their resumes. I believe that many in the judicial system want to do the right thing. But just as my public defender, (before Peter Bella) once said "I believe you're innocent but no one ever said life was gonna be fair and this isn't a Perry Mason episode." Our justice system rarely does justice (to act or treat justly or fairly). Diane
