Attorney Pellegrini served as Senior Attorney with Cumberland Farms, Inc. (CFI) for several years. While at CFI, Mr. Pellegrini permitted several hundred projects in over 70 communities throughout New England. Attorney Pellegrini's employment at CFI exposed him to the entire development process, as he was responsible for assisting with site selection and land acquisition, organizing and supervising project development teams, permitting, environmental matters, and construction issues. Attorney Pellegrini has assembled effective project teams up and down the East Coast, and has access to a network of devoted professionals capable of effectively permitting throughout New England and beyond.
As Senior Real Estate Counsel, Mr. Pellegrini was also responsible for drafting and negotiating over 400 construction, maintenance, and environmental contracts for Cumberland Farms and its Gulf Oil and Exxon Divisions. He also handled various environmental issues associated with the petroleum industry, including representation before the Massachusetts Underground Storage Tank Fund Board and matters involving the Petroleum Marketing Practices Act. His experience includes exposure to the Architectural Access Board, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Petroleum Marketers Practices Act.
Prior to joining CFI, Attorney Pellegrini worked in private practice in Newburyport, where he specialized in business start-ups and consultation, estate planning, and commercial and residential Real Estate. Mr. Pellegrini's experience extends to patent, trade mark, and intellectual property law.
Attorney Pellegrini regularly represents developers and others with the acquisition, permitting, development, leasing and sale of complex commercial and residential properties and projects, and with related matters, including the negotiation and review of construction, architectural, environmental and other related contracts and with the assessment and resolution of environmental concerns. Currently, the largest growing client segment for the office is Estate Planning. He has been working side-by-side with a second generation estate planning attorney for eight years, and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Mr. Pellegrini served on the Planning Board for his home town five years where he served on the local zoning ordinance committee. Attorney Pellegrini is also an active member of NAELA (National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys); REBA (the Real Estate Bar Association); and the Massachusetts and New Hampshire Bar Associations. He also holds a certificate in Trust and Estate Planning.
