Attorney Holton handled my very contested seperation and child custody/support case. She was fantastic. She got me awarded much more than standard visitation. If it weren't for her I would be just a passerby in my son's life. Afterwards whenever I had questions regarding the order she was prompt at r...eturning emails and did so free of charge. A new issue has just came up and my first email was to her. She instantly replied and put my mind to ease. in short............hire this attorney.

Bettina Holton showed up late for court on numerous occasions and at least twice did not show up at all. I hired her several years ago for divorce, modification (of all kinds) and visitation issues. She does not return any phone calls and in fact is not much of a counsel as she did not work for me ...in any sense of the word. She was disorganized in court, lost many of her notes, as stood passively as the opposing attorney spoke many lies about the case in which we had evidence to the contrary. Ms. Holton would not 'counter' these nor provide the evidence. This resulted in the judge taking completely false statements as true. She was apathetic and did not do anything that I asked of her. Furthermore never explained her 'strategy' but when and if she showed up for court it was clear she had none. Ms. Holton failed to turn over documents on my behalf. She didn't even notify me of a court day until the morning of. Very unprepared for court on many occasions. Ms. Holton had a habit of 'winging' it which did not work out to my favor. She charges a lot but doesn't put forth the effort on your behalf.

Bettina represented me in my divorce and she was awful. Bad negotiator, didn't really look out for my best interests - just wanted the billable hours. Rarely reviewed anything I sent her and didn't even show up for a critical meeting and at my court date. She had some Assistant that didn't know any...thing about my divorce show up. When the judge asked if I had been given proper representation, I said "I just met this woman this morning - my lawyer didn't even show up". It didn't make a big difference, but it was very disrespectful - pretty much how she works. It wasn't until later that I realized that she hadn't done anything that she could have to make the divorce more equitable and I was saddled with all of the large debt despite the financial shenanigans my ex had pulled without my knowledge. Other people have told me that I was cheated and not represented well at all. I wouldn't recommend her to get out of a cardboard box. She has no conscience about the fact that she is messing with people's lives and they have to live with consequences she has the power to help shape.

I've used Atty. Holton for family law in 2009-2010. She NEVER answers or returns my email, telephone calls, mail, etc. She has showed up late to court withOUT calling! Sometimes I am charged for travel time other times not for trial dates. I always pay on time in full and I've given her over $800...0 and she could care less about me & my case, which she knows nothing about even though I have given her ALL the tools she needs to help me win my case. Never hire her again and neither should you.
