Great Estate Planning Attorney

I found Attorney Herbst Jr. on Avvo and Lawyers.com after months of reviewing other attorneys online/phone calls in and around the Boston metro areas. In the end, Peter and another attorney came close to what I was looking for in estate planning, and they both came with excellent reviews. I ultimat...ely hired Peter. Here is why I hired Peter 1) personality, 2) quality, and 3) price. It is true that a picture can say a thousand words and what you see of Peter is what you get in person - kind, patience, and with a humble personality; unlike the other attorney with a glorified bio who have "yet to eat a $100 burger." Peter is prompt in responding to emails, flexible with his time, and up-to-date with his knowledge of the ever-changing probate/estate/tax laws. He also gave my spouse and I some valuable tax advices that already saved us a couple of hundred dollars this year. Peter covered a lot of grounds during the hour long free consultation and we never felt rushed. Peter's law firm is simple yet professional looking, his price is affordable, and he didn't nickel and dime us for everything; unlike the other attorney located in a fancy location, expensive furnishing, and the clock starts ticking after the initial consult. Attorney Herbst Jr. is a great attorney and I highly recommended him. My advise to potential clients, regardless who you choose to be your attorney, go with someone who looks out for your best interests, knowledgeable, and proofread prior to signing any legal documents.

Excellent advice

I went to Mr. Herbst when I faced serious problems with the probate of my mother's estate. He was very kind and knowledgeable. Although I intended to hire him he let me know there was another attorney who would better serve me! Wow! If I ever have a need for an attorney with Mr. Herbst's specialties ...I will hire him!

Awesome Probate Attorney

Peter took the time to explain the various probate options open to my husband and me in plain language. He answered all of our questions and addressed our concerns fully. We felt very comfortable speaking to him about out probate needs. We would highly recommend him for any probate matters.

Excellent trust & estates lawyer

I would absolutely work with Peter Herbst again. He took the time to carefully review the facts of my situation, did his homework, and came back with a recommendation for me to avoid litigation and instead to proceed with a settlement, since litigation was unlikely to actually achieve my goals and w...ould have been highly divisive in my family. This impressed me since he'd have made a great deal more money if I had proceeded with litigation - Peter clearly had my best interests at heart. He was extremely tactful and helpful in some tricky family estate settlement negotiations and two years later, I'm happy to say that everyone in the family is talking to one another and relations are amicable all around (pun intended). Turns out it can be super handy to have a lawyer on your side of the table!
