Attorney Boscarine practiced for years at a large global law firm, representing financial services firms, mutual and hedge funds, insurance companies, biotech companies, as well as pro bono work for a victim of international parental abduction, individuals seeking asylum after fleeing political persecution in their home countries, and national voting rights organizations. Her state and federal court experience includes litigation in nine states and four United States Courts of Appeals, as well as participation on the Supreme Court case District of Columbia v. Heller as a member of the Harvard Law School Supreme Court Litigation Clinic. Attorney Boscarine made a career shift after her older child was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, moving from corporate litigation to working for families and their children. She holds a certificate from the Institute of Special Education Advocacy from William & Mary Law School. She has two children on IEPs, one who attends a specialized out-of-district placement for children on the autism spectrum and one who attends an integrated preK program. She represents families at IEP meetings, mediations, and the BSEA. Attorney Boscarine was selected for the 2019 and 2020 Super Lawyer New England Rising Star lists for her work in School and Education Law.
Attorney Boscarine’s litigation experience prior to her special education practice includes trials and appeals in state and federal courts. She second chaired a bench trial in federal district court in an international child abduction case brought under the Hague Convention, successfully representing her client in follow-on litigation in state court on an issue of first impression that was ultimately affirmed by the state Supreme Court (petition for certiorari to the United States Supreme Court denied). She has experience with federal court oral argument, expert and fact witness depositions, substantial motion practice and brief-writing at the discovery, pretrial, trial, post-trial, and appellate levels, including successful appellate court briefing after a remand from the United States Supreme Court.
