Biography
David E. Cherny is a founding partner of the Boston Law firm of Atwood & Cherny, P.C., a nationally recognized law firm concentrating in the practice of complex matrimonial litigation at both the trial and appellate court levels.
Mr. Cherny and his firm have been involved in numerous family law cases and appellate decisions which have had a significant role in shaping family law in Massachusetts. He has served as appellate counsel in over 50 cases to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, Massachusetts Appeals Court, Federal 1st Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court, including cases such as: Pierce v. Pierce; Dematteo v. Dematteo; Zaleski v. Zalesski; Rodman v. Rodman; Young v. Young; and, Van Arsdale v. Van Arsdale.
