I hired Chris to defend me in a second offense OUI charge in August 2017. From the start Chris put me at ease and was very knowledgeable in the process. I am a veteran and Chris utilized the VALOR act to help defend me. He was the only lawyer I talked to who knew how to quickly initiate that proce...ss. In the court room, Chris spoke clearly and with confidence to the judge and prosecutor. He was able to professionally engage the Prosecutor and work out a very favorable plea deal so that my case did not have to go to trial. At the end of the entire process, I had my first OUI vacated and received an outcome similar to a first offense. After everything I went through, 45 days without a license was a huge success. IF YOU NEED THE BEST OUI ATTORNEY IN BOSTON, PLEASE READ MY SUMMARY OF CHRIS COUGHLIN I was pulled over in later December coming home form a holiday party. It was stupid for me to drive, but I did. When I saw the blue lights behind me, I knew my life was about to change. Arrested for OUI. Not ...knowing what to do next, I was fortunate enough to contact Chris Coughlin. Chris is brilliant. His advice was spot on. He reviewed all the details of my case, explained all my options and made his recommendation. Unfortunately, I simply could not go without a drivers license while the case played out, Chris understood. Literally, it was only one day from my first court appearance that I was back in front of the judge pleading my case! ONE DAY.... Thanks to Chris, I was able to put the court portion of my mistake behind me so I could focus on getting my license back. Just because the court portion of the case was resolved, that didn't mean that Chris was done assisting me. When a case settles with a CWOF on the first offense, you are required to enroll in a DAE program. This enrollment document is needed in order to be eligible for a hardship license. Chris helped me make those phone calls. I was floored by his generosity. Once I was enrolled, the last piece was to go to the RMV to apply for a hardship...Naturally this is a stressful event. Chris suggested I come to his office so we could review all the documents. I did. He was confident that I would not have any issues at the RMV, but I wasn't so sure. I asked him if he'd be willing to go to the RMV with me, and, naturally, he did. It was a total of 6 days from when I had my license suspended until I was able to get a hardship issued....6 days....and there was a holiday and a weekend sandwiched in. I'm certain this is not typical. Obviously if I could do it all over again, I wouldn't drive my car. If you experience the same lapse in judgment as I did, you NEED to get Chris on your team. This man is brilliant and experienced. He managed to take an extremely stressful situation for me and make it a lot more tolerable. I am forever in his debt.....
