Jeffrey R. Drago

Jeffrey has gained extensive experience at both the municipal and state level of government, through a thirteen-year career-serving the administration of Mayor Thomas Menino. 

During his tenure included positions as a Special Assistant, Neighborhood Liaison, and Business Development Manager. Through the years Jeffrey has developed lasting relationships within City departments and State agencies. As a liaison for the East Boston neighborhood, he worked specifically on waterfront development projects, airport expansion, hotel development, condominium conversions, and restaurant expansion. 

In representing the Mayor, He has built relationships at the state level, which include: Massport, the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority, and MDC. Through his tenure at the City he has had the opportunity to work with members of the Legislature on formulating policies that affect the local Boston area

His experience in working on waterfront development projects, having played an integral part in East Boston’s Maverick Landing development and Hodge Boiler Works additionally he has worked with Roseland properties and Wynn Development on community process and design review for East Boston’s waterfront development projects. 

In Jeffrey's capacity as Business Development Manager at Neighborhood Development he has assisted East Boston CDC, Neighborhood of Affordable Housing, and the Boston Housing Authority to develop affordable housing throughout the City of Boston. 

Jeffrey was the neighborhood contact for East Boston during the 14/32 runway proposal, and dealt with the Mass Turnpike and Central Artery on the building of the Ted Williams Tunnel project on a daily basis. 

During his tenure at The City Boston he has acted as a direct link to the Mayor and the communities he represents. His strong grasp of Boston’s zoning code, permitting requirements, and licensing laws make him the ideal person for legal representation within numerous areas .
