After talking with Tim , I subsequently switched to Tim’s law group. Tim had to take on a WELL established Massachusetts law firm which could be intimidating; he was definitely up for this tough challenge. Other lawyers would not take this case after my previous lawyer’s handling and were afraid of l...osing this case. Tim was different, he wanted to help right a wrong as best as he could knowing what was being handed to him. It was quickly apparent that Tim took his job to heart unlike my previous lawyer. Tim put the opposition law firm on notice that he was about the business of winning my case and not losing. Tim had a tough challenge because he had to rectify the mess made by previous lawyer who had my case on track to be a loss. The best way to summarize how Tim handled my case could be explained by using terminology from the 1960s Batman TV series. In response to Tim’s introduction and demand letter to the opposition, Tim was hit with a response that was a BOOM. Tim responded and hit back with a KA-BOOM. Next time they hit Tim with a POW and Tim responded with a POW-POW; Tim did NOT back down. Tim worked hard and fought hard for my case. He kept me informed with every step of my case unlike my previous lawyer. He was honest with and didn’t sugarcoat what I needed to hear about my case. He did a hell of a good job with my case considering the mess he had to work with. I would absolutely recommend the Upper Charles Law Group as my experience was absolutely pleasurable with this law group. I hired Timothy Rodden through avvo.com to help with my employment and discrimination complaint. Initially he started the case on contingency basis. He sent me invoice for the services (phone calls to expert witness etc.) which he was never actually did and/or able to provide the evidence for it. He ...consumed initial retainer and then he said he cannot represent me on contingency basis. He sent me a new client attorney hourly fee based contract, and the contingency based contract was null and voided. He asked me a new retainer of $10,000. I asked him if he can work for $8000 retainer. and use the money from my contingency based retainer. During this correspondence, I never signed this new hourly fee based contract. I asked him how he is going to represent me for a litigation. Then he sent me a rough draft with inaccurate case details. I was very busy with my work that I didn't had the chance to read his extensive very long email. He mentioned in the email that he is going to withdraw my complaint from MA Commission against discrimination (MCAD) and will file the petition in superior court. WORST NIGHTMARE !!……...he didn't asked for any proof read and final check for superior court petition and filed it without my approval/ without my consent and without my knowledge. Neither he emailed me any copy of the filed petition, nor he called or text informing me that a petition was filed in superior court. I even didn't sign the new hourly fee based attorney client agreement. About 2 weeks after, I read his email and asked him if he has filed the petition in the court. He replied yes. After a lot of push, he withdrew the petition from superior court. Following this I was finally able to review the petition content for the first time which had many significant inaccuracies (which include my old past residential address and is not the current address) which I never would allow. Now MCAD denied reinstatement of my MCAD complaint which was withdrawn without my knowledge and without my consent or approval and even with no fresh client attorney agreement. Totally unprofessional experience. I don't know how to deal with this adverse situation. Never recommend to anyone!!

Atty Rodden was a great representative in my case. He walked me through different scenarios/outcome and provided me information that helped me make the best decision. Tim not only listened to me, he HEARD me which really makes a difference when you have a story that needs to be told in order to rece...ive the justice you believe you deserve. He was professional, available, and responsive. I did feel that Atty Rodden had my back and represented me fully. I also felt that he had a good understanding of the law surrounding my case yet he spent time researching similar cases to be sure we presented ourselves accurately.
