Mark is an experienced litigator and counselor who has handled a variety of lawsuits, administrative actions, and pre-litigation matters. He began his legal career by clerking for the Massachusetts Superior Court in Suffolk, Middlesex, and Essex counties. After his clerkship, Mark practiced as a litigator for more than five years in Boston law firms, focusing on professional liability defense, construction law, and employment law.
Since opening the Firm in 2013, he has assisted a wide variety of companies and individuals with their legal needs. For businesses, he regularly serves as outside general counsel, assisting with matters on an as-needed basis, which generally includes compliance with employment law and human resources matters. Mark also assists individuals with their legal needs, including advising professionals on employment agreements and asserting claims on their behalf when necessary.
Mark has secured trial victories for clients in state and federal courts, including a seven-figure employment discrimination verdict in federal court that was the eleventh highest verdict of any kind in Massachusetts that year 1 and was upheld through attempted appeals up to the United State Supreme Court. He also has significant experience before administrative agencies, including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the New York Commission on Human Rights, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Before going to court, however, Mark aims to come up with creative solutions to avoid legal disputes and litigation, including using alternative dispute resolution. The Firm has assisted many clients in resolving their matters alternatively, whether through mediation, arbitration, or private negotiation.
Mark is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New York, as well as federal district and appeals courts. He is a graduate of Concord-Carlisle High School, Boston College, and New England School of Law, where he was the recipient of the Sandra Day O’Connor full merit scholarship and was an editor of the New England Law Review.
He has been an adjunct instructor of Legal Research and Writing at New England Law Boston since 2009 and has authored pieces for the New England Law Review and Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education.
