Amy M. Wax

I have worked with Amy since 2010. She helped me through threat of deportation to getting my green card, and now, citizenship. Maybe any lawyer can do that, but what's special about Amy is that she worked with me in "good faith" when I was a student and didn't have any money to pay her fees (sometime...s I paid her $10 a month) until I graduated, got a job and paid her. Way to put humanity in often faceless and cruel processes that sometimes destroy lives. I 110% recommend Amy to anyone who needs an immigrations lawyer who is effective and a pleasure to work with.

We hired Amy "just in case" we might need her support in my wife's naturalization application. I was concerned about the distance, with Amy in Boston and us filing in DC. We had time constraints, and what could have been a disaster was handled very smoothly by Amy. She contacted the right people and ...orchestrated the process extremely well. Our journey to a permanent residency was highly complicated. We needed the J1 waiver of the Exchange Visitor Two-Year Home-Country Physical Presence Requirement rule, as well as facing a few other crucial obstacles. Since almost each lawyer expresses a different opinion I can not definitely say, looking back, that Amy was right and the most accurate. Then, she was reachable and willing to answer questions after the meeting as well. My gut feeling was clear, and we went with her. That was such a smart decision. Amy cracked every obstacle on the way so professionally, prepared our files and petitions, had the best creative solutions to problems, and always on time to apply as quick as possible to the next stage. The wonderful Paulo Silva at her office is a huge asset, he was always so smart and reachable and endlessly making an effort to help quickly. Along the way I was exposed to the other sides of Amy's work, her involvement in important causes, and her academic work and teaching, which made me appreciate her even more. I already sent a few friends and colleagues to Amy's firm for EB1, for Adjustment of status, and for just ordinary info-pass inquiries as well. Everyone is always so happy and thankful.

Amy was the fifth attorney I worked with and of course was and will be the last one. I left all the previous ones to find a better one. Amy is the best. She is very smart, knows her stuff, and the best thing about here which is very very rare is honesty. She never gives you fake hope to charge yo...u. She will frankly let you know if she can help you with your case or not. All the previous ones charged me a lot and didn't do anything. I am so sorry that I didn't know Amy before. Had I hired her from the beginning, I'm sure it made a big difference. I strongly recommend Amy to everyone who needs an immigration lawyer.
