I have over 9 years of experience in patent preparation and IP portfolio management.
I graduated from the Suffolk University Law School with a J.D. degree and concentration in intellectual property law, patent law specialization. I am admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and I am licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.
After graduation, I worked as a patent examiner at the USPTO, conducting searches and analyses, and preparing office actions on the applications related to the semiconductor fabrication and other relevant fields. I worked as a consultant at a small IP boutique law firm in Lexington, Massachusetts. I managed PCT patent applications related to the biotechnology and chemical engineering fields, including nanotechnology, semiconductors, and device fabrication areas. Currently, I work as a solo patent attorney on prosecuting patent applications.
Also, I hold an M.S. degree in chemical engineering with specialization in the semiconductor device technology and I have extensive experience in the field of fabrication, testing and characterization of semiconductor devices.
I am experienced in managing IP portfolio, writing patent applications, as well as conducting patent search and analysis using such search programs as PatentCafe, Delphion, LexisNexis, and Westlaw, as well as using USPTO search programs such as EAST and WEST.

I was recommended him through Boston Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and he in a very short amount of time managed to get my copyright and trademark paperwork registered in a reasonable time. Highly would recommend for anyone looking for a lawyer.

Ilya is smart, focused and reasonable. He's also really pleasant to work with. I'm an attorney and I would hire him again in a heartbeat. I recommend Ilya completely and without reservation.

He did a great job researching, writing up and filing both my patent applications. Great communication and follow up! I look forward to continuing to work together as the patents progress through the USPTO.
