The work of being a family lawyer and mediator is challenging and rewarding. The challenge is in working with people who are experiencing great emotional strain, financial anxiety, and uncertainty.  My goal is to use the skills gained through training and experience, along with a natural respect for people, to help clients achieve financial, family and emotional stability. The reward comes when I am able to guide clients to making good decisions about their legal situation and seeing them return to successful and happy lives post-divorce.  It happens!

In addition to loving my work, personal interests I enjoy including writing, bicycling, photography, boating, and singing in a rock band called Assisted Living. I'm blessed with three children who survived the crisis of divorce very well and still enjoy spending time with their Dad.

“David Kellem and his team guided me through one of the most challenging times of my life when I was getting divorced. From the first phone call to final closure he was not only a seasoned, savvy attorney but a friend who educated and comforted me through a very confusing process. My divorce situation was quite difficult both technically and emotionally. David handled my uneasy state with compassion and firm, calm guidance. His response to aggressive and extremely negative, dirty tactics from my wife's lawyer was a "take the high road" position of a superb gentleman, and controlling the situation with intelligence and inner calm. David's self-assured, yet never arrogant, demeanor combined with his tremendous communication skills (personally and professionally) literally saved my life and those things most important to me.
