Mark T Stopa

Mark T. Stopa has extensive trial experience and has appeared before all trial courts in Massachusetts and New Jersey, as well as a number of administrative bodies, and appeared in both state and federal courts of appeal. Mr. Stopa is also admitted to practice before the Federal District Courts of Massachusetts and New Jersey and Washington, D.C. and has appeared in a number of other courts across the country.

Mr. Stopa received his Bachelor of Arts with honors from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ where he was a member of the National Political Science Honor Society and developed and participated in a Washington, D.C. honors internship. He completed his Juris Doctor at New England School of Law, Boston, MA. While in law school, Mr. Stopa received a number of academic honors and was a member of the local and national moot court, mock trial and appellate advocacy teams. He was appointed to serve on several student and student/faculty committees. At graduation, Mr. Stopa received the Arthur Winfield MacClean Founder's Award and was noted in Who's Who Among American Law Students. Since he was a student, Mr. Stopa has been a member of the American Bar Association and Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys.

As an attorney, Mr. Stopa has also taught in a number of settings, including courses and seminars for practicing attorneys and law students. He has spoken to insurers on issues relating to coverage, claims handling and investigation, litigation management and trial practice and to real estate professionals concerning a multitude of issues relating to their practice. He has also spoken to numerous academic, civic and business groups on various legal issues. Mr. Stopa serves on the boards of directors for a number of corporate and charitable organizations.

Mr. Stopa is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the Massachusetts Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys and the International Association of Special Investigation Units.

Mr. Stopa lives in Foxborough, Massachusetts with his wife Molly and has three daughters and two step-daughters. He is an active member of numerous non-profit and civic organizations.

Bar,  the District of Columbia Court of Appeals; and the U.S. Tax Court.
