Biography
In addition to my professional experience as an attorney, I have served as an officer in the United States Army Reserve since 2004. Currently I work as an Engineer officer. My time in the service has been spent doing construction and logistics management, and I am a veteran with a tour of duty in Kandahar, Afghanistan. My time in the service has only increased my desire to help people with their legal issues, as I saw first hand how the trouble from a small legal issue could balloon to affect the Soldiers under my command. I want to put the dedication and hard work that I have applied to my military career to work for you as an advocate and counselor to help you resolve your legal issues.

Replied last May 02, 2024After receiving a message from this client I conducted a lengthy free consultation with her regarding her issue. During this consultation she indicated to me that she was not in a hurry to addresss the legal concerns involved. After attempting to contact me at 7am when the office is not open, she then accused me of improper behavior in agressive emails. This woman was never a client and her review is baseless.

Misleading response
Mr. Owens responded that "ALL repairs are the responsibility of the Landlord", but during the in-person meeting with him he clarified that only the sanitary code violation repairs are the responsibility of the Landlord. Replied last October 01, 2018Your review misstates the information that you were provided at the free consultation, during which I met with you for over an hour at no charge. During your consultation you were advised that while the landlord is responsible for all repairs, the damages that you seek were not available in court cases, namely your personal time and effort spent to clean the apartment. At the consultation you informed me that your landlord had made repairs when requested, but that you were not satisfied with this and had broken your lease as a result. You were also told that you may still have some claims related to your security deposit, but that it made more sense for you to pursue these individually rather than higher an attorney to do so for you, and I explained both the process and what to request. As attorneys it is our job to provide an honest assessment to potential clients of their claims, and to refrain from charging clients for our services when we cannot assist them. Attorneys who are not willing to share their experience and knowledge of the law are committing an ethical violation. I'm sorry that you were dissatisfied with my assessment, but your review is unfairly punishing me for proving you with a no-cost and ethical consultation.
