My biggest regret was that attorney Hubbard was not my first call and not there with me when the judge issued my temporary orders back in 2003. Thankfully I was able to quickly resolve this the following week when I met Atty Hubbard. I also keep it close so that I can show it as an example for those considering divorce. What impresses me still is how even though at the time I found it difficult to set aside my hurt and pain, Atty Hubbard provided a plan that wasn’t grossly skewed to either parent. Instead she made sure to focus on the most important thing which is the needs of my daughter. Many people were surprised when they would first learn about my parenting plan. Talking with other parents at the time and hearing how things differed for them often left me surprised. Even though I was often told it, I knew that I was provided with a rare opportunity for the current time. I made sure not to waste that opportunity either. Thanks to Atty Hubbard I was there for each moment and have memories with my child that my father never was able to have with me. I was there for the good times, and I was there to help my daughter through the tough times. I was there to help with homework and the various projects. I was there to embarrass her, there to make her laugh, and there to teach her right from wrong. I was there when she graduated high school and there when she started going to college. There isn’t a day that goes by or a moment of parenting where I am not grateful to Atty Hubbard for what she made possible.
