My review might sound cliche but I've hired Attorney Doherty over the past 10 years and his experience with family law is excellent and beyond compare. He knows the law and it's nuances, relevant case law, and is very knowledgeable rules, regulations, court personnel and judges. On every occasion, ...he has listened to my wishes and goals -- and paid attention to expeditiously getting results while navigating the court maze. Some times I wonder how I might have fared with a different lawyer, or shudder thinking about going without one. Jim's calm and cool temperament even through some of the most nastiest situations during my divorce was phenomenal. In a way, he has helped me learn patience, skill and strategy -- which is critical to anyone litigating a contested action in court, outside of the normal "cookie cutter" case. Jim also holds himself to the highest standards and stayed ethically strong, taking the high road on all occasions. On specific subjects in which Jim did not have experience in, he was direct and open with me -- but was also able to refer me to another colleague with solid experience in those specific areas. He knows the people and the right modes of action. As the saying goes, a good lawyer is hard to find. But find a great lawyer is even harder. I'm taking the time to write a longer review here, in the hopes that your search would be simpler and quicker. In my humble opinion, Attorney Doherty is one the best in the area, and I sincerely think you'd be glad that you hired him to represent you and your needs.
