When I called Attorney Higgins for the first time, both of my elderly parents were in the hospital, they had very little assets and had no previous estate planning done. It was a dark time for me and I felt like I had nowhere to turn. Attorney Higgins answered the phone, listened to me and immediat...ely put me at ease. He took our case, stated what needed to be done and he took action. I had tried to get my parents into a nursing home but they would not take them because of finances and we were in the process of applying for masshealth. Attorney Higgins called a nursing home and on his good faith got my mom accepted at a very nice place the next day! Sadly, my father passed shortly after then my mother passed, all before we could finish the applications. Attorney Higgins never faltered. He was kind and empathetic, yet never lost sight of his role and the goals we needed to reach. He successfully got our informal probate approved without us having to step foot inside a courthouse. I have known Attorney Jeff Higgins for over 6-years. During those 6-years he has helped me with numerous issues. From my mothers estate when she passed away, with my personal will and trust, with my daughter and her issues. When I remarried he did our will at no cost! My family made an agreement w Jeff in 1996 or thereabouts. It's been a VERY long 12 years. Mom now has dementia. Scores of emergency room visits, nurses, and hundreds of calls to Jeff: he answered every one of them! Oh, and by the way, he must have saved us at least a few hundred grand. Mom is... now full time in nursing home. It was not easy for me and brought me to the brink of a breakdown. But I followed most every word of advice from Jeff. The house brings to my brother and I to split when (if-lol) mom dies.
