Lisa J. Smith graciously escorted me through the divorce process.
The education she provided, advice she imparted, and patience she demonstrated was much appreciated.
Lisa is very bright, communicative, professional, and caring and I believe negotiated a very favorable settlement for me.
I will recommend her without reservation to any friend requiring the her unique brand of "velvet hammer" legal counsel.

Ms. Smith was extremely professional and more importantly, to a client, accessible during this entire process. I found her demeanor to be pleasing and she was patient and able to explain legal terminology and processes in a way that I could easily understand. Even though the process of divorce is unpleasant, I felt fortunate to have such an experienced and knowledgeable lawyer in my corner. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Really felt that she understood what I needed in a difficult situation and brought in the resources to make the right choices. She made everyone involved feel listened to and knew when to take action and when to let the process proceed. Details and finances were a real strength.
Fran Whyman, Family Attorney
Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community
Lisa is a leader in the collaborative law community and a highly respected member of the mediation community. I worked as opposing council on two cases with Lisa. She is deeply insightful about the challenges her clients face as they go through a divorce. She is an experienced and highly effective advocate and a creative problem solver. She works hard at helping clients generate positive solutions to difficult problems. Lisa's clients appreciate her thoughtful and caring professional approach.
Rackham Karlsson, Marriage and prenuptials Attorney
Relationship: Worked together on matter
Lisa and I have done volunteer co-mediation together at CDSC, during which I have had a chance to observe and learn from her impressive skills as a divorce mediator. Her calm, neutral demeanor and ease with divorce matters allow her to help clients navigate difficult subjects with minimal friction. I endorse her wholeheartedly.
