Biography

The firm's founder, Attorney David C. Crossley has also provided legal services to Japanese law firms, and Japanese legal professionals and businesses, such as: Hitachi Co. Ltd., the Central Bank of Japan, Kanagawa University, Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd., and Quintiles Transnational.

He has been privileged to work as trial counsel in a variety of cases, such as representation of corporate clients in class-action defense litigation before the state and federal courts, consulting in a multi-million dollar securities claims against U.S. Securities brokerages and representation of clients in commercial litigation.

Prior to founding the Crossley Law Offices, Attorney Crossley worked as in-House Counsel and supervising attorney for the 14th largest consumer debt collection law firm in the United States where he was primarily responsible for handling the defense of complex class actions brought against the collection law firm throughout the United States. He successfully defended 100% of these cases from reaching class certification. These actions typically focused on alleged violations of state and federal debt collection laws, consumer protection statutes and consumer finance statutes.

Before that, Attorney Crossley worked as a law clerk and then Associate Attorney for the Boston based law firm LAWSON & WEITZEN, LLP. While with that firm he was primarily responsible for commercial litigation, family law, securities arbitration, personal injury and medical malpractice actions.

Attorney Crossley is proficient in Japanese and has developed a 20 week course on USA law for the Jikei Group of Colleges/ILC in Tokyo, Japan, which is taught to Japanese lawyers and legal professionals with law firms such as Allen & Overy, CAST Itoga Law, P.C., and Mori Hamada & Matsumoto, and with companies such as Hitachi Co. Ltd., Kirin Holdings Company, Ltd., Asahi Breweries, Ltd., the Japanese business newspaper Nikkei, Metal One and ABeam Consulting.

Considerate and Caring

I never had any financial problems in all of my adult life until my divorce. Not only was it devastating for me, but put me in a whirlwind of credit cards. I was not going on luxury vacations, but supporting my children without child support from their father. Needless to say, I accumulated a larg...e debt that I saw no end in sight. I might add that after a 13 year period only a insignificant percentage had been reduced. After fighting the initial fear and shame of even considering Chapter 7, I made my phone calls. I spent months calling bankruptcy lawyers and checking them out on the net. David responded and was kind and clear. It is very hard for anyone to go through something like this and David understands that. He was with me all the way and explained in simple terms the things that I needed to do. We set up a payment plan that I could afford monthly and started the process. Relief and comfort is how I feel today.

Best Choice We Made for Chapter7

My wife and i were victims of a work at home scam and lost out big time. We were nervous and faced a large credit card balance at a big bank. We were working with the police, ICC, and the bank to track down the money. We had talked with other laywers who were either too scared to take our case or ...too overwhlemed with the complexity of the issues. Needless to say we were not the standard chapter7/11. Dave came to the rescue. He was not scared or intimidated with the extra help we needed. He put a lot of extra time into our case and walked us through the process. He made us feel SIGNIFICANTLY better about our options and financial security through the entire process. He is EXTREMELY knowledgable about MA bankruptcy and saved us a lot of time and pain. He prepared us extremely well for the hearing- even down to sending our package over early to the judge in order to streamline the questioning. He knows the system, plays by the rules, and works HARD to help the customer. You do not want to mess around with another lawyer. I am just glad we found him.
