I was looking for a real estate attorney to assist me in looking over my paper work. I had Richard Goldman close on my prior, house so I thought I would use him to look over the next contract. Unfortunately things did not go so well. The next thing you know, I was waiting to get my retainer back; w...eeks had gone by with nothing in the mail. I called the office and he stated he did not have my address - strange since it was on all of the paperwork. Next when the check arrived it was for less that the retainer. After 4 phone calls to find out why, I finally received a letter in the mail with a bill itemizing the deductions he took out of the retainer for his fee for payment of looking over the contract and doing a title search which I was unaware of - REALLY... Definitely not very reputable practices.
