UWWM Shareholder Charles (Chuck) Tetunic has been one of the most successful mediators in South Florida since 1994 when he gave up the practice of law to become a full-time mediator. He has mediated more than 7,000 cases, specializing in personal injury, medical malpractice, insurance claims, and construction litigation. His goal is to bring passion, compassion, and a sense of humor to each of his mediations.
Prior to embarking on his mediation career, Chuck was a shareholder at Becker & Poliakoff where he was a trial lawyer handling both personal injury and construction defect cases. He also served as Special Counsel to both the Broward Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Department of Business Regulation.
Chuck moved to Florida in 1982 from New York, where he was the Bronx Borough Chief in the Torts Division of the New York City Law Department. Prior to that, he began his legal career with the NYC Department of Investigation, where he probed white-collar crime and official corruption.
More recently, he has presented numerous lectures to attorneys throughout the state on mediation techniques. In his spare time, he most likely can be found on the golf course missing a 4-foot putt.
