Matt Stanley has devoted more than 35 years to tax controversy litigation and resolution. The taxes include federal taxes administered by the IRS and state taxes levied by Washington State's Department of Revenue and a number of other state tax agencies.The tax issues Matt handles include civil disputes and criminal tax presecutions. They run the gamut from audit problems, tax settlements, litigation, appeals and a variety of tax collecdtion matters. Additionally, particularly Matt's busines clients need help with non-tax problems that involve government agencies.  In Washington, those include the Departments of Labor & Industries, Employment Security and Licensing. Matt spent his formative years as a senior trial attorney with the Department of Treasury handling federal tax litigation and settlements, and as a Special Designated Asst. U.S. Attorney - Tax working on criminal tax cases and tax collection issues.
