Client Review: Ms. Collins was court appointed on a dependency case involving my son. Ms. Collins absolutely refused to respond to my emails and my phone calls. She whined about her poor feelings getting hurt when I finally started accusing her of deliberately sabotaging my case. She was the attorney of record for around 6-8 months, and during that time, never once filed any paperwork. There is no accusation of abuse or neglect in my case, and yet Ms. Collins never once motioned the court to return my son home. Instead, we have been left on very strict supervised visits. DCFS broke every rule, law, statute, and policy possible, yet Ms. Collins refused to hold them accountable. She sat in silence, ignoring me, ignoring the case, ignoring the criminal activity all around us. Ms Collins is good at projecting herself as a "hard working attorney" (all her colleagues believe her), but yet there is no evidence of her "busy-ness" on the record in my case. My case is FAR WORSE now than it was when Ms. Collins was appointed. Very disappointing. She is definitely among the worst attorneys I have dealt with. I would say she is utterly useless. Maybe it's just because she can get away with being useless when wasting public funds?
