I am a Seattle native and grew up and attended High School, College, and Law School in Seattle, graduating from the University of Washington School of Law in 1977. I was recruited to Seattle University to play soccer and was captain of the soccer team for 3 years. I graduated from Seattle University with honors, receiving the award for outstanding student in the field of my major.
Prior to entering private practice, I chose to work as a public defender in order to obtain trial experience. During my three years as a public defender I handled literally hundreds of cases, including the trial of two murder cases, before I had been an attorney for three full years.
Shortly after leaving the public defender and entering into private practice, I was retained to represent Steve Titus, an innocent man who had been wrongly convicted of Rape. Working with reporter Paul Henderson of the Seattle Times, who was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for his investigative journalism on the case, we were able to win our client a new trial, and our investigation led to the arrest of the individual who was responsible for the crime and the exhonoration of our client. The story of this case was later memorialized by author Jack Olsen who wrote a book about the case.
Since 1985 I have limited my practice to representing people who have been seriously injured, or who have suffered the death of a family member, as a result of negligence of another person or corporation, including cases involving dangerous products, automobile collisions, and construction site injuries. Since 1993, a major portion of my practice has involved representation of individuals and families who have sustained injuries and losses as a result of AVIATION ACCIDENTS, including crashes involving airplanes, helicopters, and experimental aircraft.
Our firm enjoys a national reputation among the best aviation attorneys throughout the country and we are regularly associated by other law firms to assist them in the prosecution of aviation cases in Washington State. In addition, we have been retained by clients on aviation matters occurring throughout the country and in many foreign countries.
I am proud to have participated in Trial Lawyers Care which provided free representation to the families of the 9/11 victimsin pursuing claims with the Victims Compensation Fund.
The lawyers in our firm pride ourselves on being ever aware that our clients have suffered tragedy, and are entitled to not only excellent legal representation and fair compensation for their losses, but also caring and personal service.
I currently live in Seattle with my wife and our 9 year old Blue Heeler, Chloe. My wife and I have two grown children, one of which is an attorney and the other, having graduated from culinary school, is pursuing a carreer as a chef.

Jeff is one of the most intelligent, hard-working and dedicated professionals I've had the pleasure of working with. He's a true master of his craft. I interviewed numerous high-profile aviation attorneys to associate with me on a wrongful death aviation case and I found Jeff's knowledge, professionalism and integrity second to none. I highly recommend that clients interview him in person to fully understand the caliber of lawyer they're getting in Mr. Jones.
