    9 points of child hearsay

My name is Nicholas Litle. My parents and I retained Jeffrey D. Cohen based on his proclaimed AVVO rating in experience and skills. And, his ability to unravel child hearsay in Washington state

We started this journey firmly believing that this gross misunderstanding would be resolved by Cohen advocating for the truth. However, Cohen appeared unable to navigate extreme procedural errors and malicious prosecution. Cohen seemed disinterested in the truth. Instead, he appeared to avoid evidence. As the case continued, Cohen's bias became profoundly noticeable, and I feel, unjust.

In fact, Cohen announced to his peers that he believed that I was guilty even before trial began. I feel that he based his opinion on co-oerced, but compelling, forensic evidence provided by Prosecutors, Benjamin Gauen and Celia Lee.

Imminently, Cohen's bias contributed to Judge Timothy Bradshaw suppressing a majority of the defense in pretrial while allowing the child hearsay. In addition, instead of re-focusing on Ryan''s 9 points of child hearsay a majority of his defense was not admitted, Cohen focused on his arguments. Arguments aren't evidence.

I tried to reason with Cohen. Instead of respecting my opinion and experience of the event, he screamed at me. I came to despise him. Cohen wouldn't listen to me. Cohen then began to avoid me, and spoke to my mother and father about the case instead, which is an ethical violation.

While I had many conversations about retaining new counsel, especially after Cohen's near-death-10-day-ICU hospitalization, followed with other serious health issue, starting over seemed insurmountable. Our family didn't understand the legal process. And, we were so invested in Cohen at this point that we fell even further under his spell of submission and subjugation. The outcome was that Cohen's bias and poor health, in my opinion, was the root cause of my conviction.

Cohen simply was not effective. Cohen did little to advocate for me in the face of CPS misconduct, over-zealous police officers, and apathetic prosecutors. Cohen appeared to accept the prosecution's willingness to believe three at-risk children's stories. Cohen seemed to accept and believe these stories though they changed by leaps and bounds. Cohen appeared to refuse to investigate their history, and that of their family, which reportedly includes prior CPS investigations and incarcerations, rape, assault and battery, fraud, and extreme drug use, etc.

All in all, while Cohen loudly boosted, "I'm Nick's advocator." I feel that Cohen rested on his laurels, took $88,000.00 of parents' retirement money, and was the core reason for my conviction.

    9 points of child hearsay

My name is Nicholas Litle. My parents and I retained Jeffrey D. Cohen for his proclaimed AVVO rating in experience and skills in unraveling child hearsay. We started this journey firmly believing the truth be discovered in this gross misunderstanding. Cohen lack of desire to search for new evidence was profoundly noticeable and unjust, leading to the extreme procedural errors and ineffective counsel. Prosecutors, Benjamin Gauen and Ceclia Lee forensic evidence evidence was "so complying," to Cohen that he was bias, announced to his peers that he believed I that I had done this most henance crime in our society, before trial even began. Judge Timothy Bradshaw suppressed most of Cohen case in pre-trial, but instead of re-focusing on the 9 points of child hearsay, Cohen continued to focus only on what was he left, his arguments. Arguments aren't evidence.
Cohen and I argued, screamed at each other and truly despised each other throughout trial preparation. Cohen wouldn't listen to me. Cohen was extremely unprofessional and ethical challenged with mother and father, consciously pushing them into a submissive roles. Cohen would loudly boost, "I'm Nick's advocator," yet he rested on his lorals, and took $88,000.00 off my parents retirement money. I had many conversations about retaining new counsel as we couldn't develop a professional, working relationship, especially when Cohen had a near-death 10 day ICU hospitalization, followed with other serious health issue, but starting over seemed insurmountable as we didn't understand the legal process. Cohen's pre-Justice of my case and poor health were the root cause of my ultimate conviction.
Misconduct of authorities, over-zealous police officers, prosecutors that don't give a damm and the children's stories kept changing by leaps and bounds, egregious evidence in the claimants past history that Jeff Cohen refused to investigate.

Jeff Cohen is the best advocate in Seattle

I was accused falsely of a very serious crime over 20 years ago and charged. i HAD NEVER been charged with a crime in my life, no criminal history. I could have spent up to 20 years in prison, but he fought for me every step of the way believing in my innocence, he went above and beyond what was expected of him as a criminal defense lawyer. In a world of lawyers who dont take their job to defend their clients very seriously Jeff Cohen took his job very seriously in getting to the bottom of the truth and using his expertise to defend my rights. It is very hard to overcome charges in the state of Washington where some lawyers are afraid to advocate for their clients and defend their rights but Jeff Cohen defended my rights with the knowledge he had of the law. I was exonerated and found not guilty. He confronted police in court with their unethical behavior and fought for my rights wanting to see justice prevail which it was. I was exonerated of all charges and cleared after 3 months. I have a friend who is going through an unjust situation in the justice system that is not quite the same as mine but she has not had the priveldge of of good legal counsel and has endured over a year and a half of misery fighting an uphill legal battle and gone through 2 lawyers that have not done much for her case. She has had to do all the work and she has always been through too much unable to to it herself. I only wish i had known of her legal dilema before she hired these 2 lawyers who have not done anything for her. She had the same offers recently that she had from the start without any improvement in her case. If she had Jeff Cohen this case would been resolved favorably a long time ago as he would have gotten to the bottom of this right away. Thank you Jeff for saving my life. Im sorry i didnt think of writing this sooner. This friend of mine who is being prosecuted now maliciously showed me where i can write this review. THANKS JEFF, LONG OVERDO....

    Great Experience (DUI Charge)

I was recently faced with the charge of a severe hit-and-run/DUI (high BAC). When going through the overwhelming court process, it really helps to have a professional and knowledgable attorney at your side for guidance. Jeff proved to be this and more. His experience in the courtroom really shows and I felt like a had the best defense possible on my side. While many other attorneys seemed a bit disorganized and unprepared, Jeff was always one step ahead, completing documents in advance in order to speed up time spent in court. Being organized and experienced is absolutely critical in a DUI case as there are many factors to deal with (DOL trials, license suspensions, evaluations, classes, etc.). Jeff proved to be very resourceful, researching and utilizing evidence every step of the way. In the end, the hit-and-run charge was dropped and the DUI reduced to a reckless driving. He was also able to win the hearing with the the DOL. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome! Thanks again Jeff!
