    the run around

I called and asked about chapter 13 , so I could get my drivers license back to get future employment, what I got was a bitter man that is making as much money as possible with monster prices, $1850 and have come to find out the way to go is to get a paralegal ..... hard times for people so jack up the prices ..

    Bankrupt help!

I used Doug Hansen several years! He helped me through my finanical issues caused by a very bad divorce. He was kind and understanding and treated me well. He was very smart and explained all the laws to me and the responisibilty I had after he was out of the picture. I have recommended him to a co worker within the last year and she was happy too! THANKS DOUG!

Took full fee and performed no work

A neighbor had used Mr. Hansen for her bankruptcy with no issues. My initial meeting was fine and I hired him. He informed me we would be filing within the week. Approximately 10 days later, the bank attempted to repossess my car. I attempted to reach Mr. Hansen and left him several messages. He did not return any of my calls. I was forced to deal directly with the bank. This was one of my concerns and a major reason to hire professional representation, to deal with the various financial institutions. The following week,on Monday, his office contacted me and informed me he had suffered a stroke and understood I needed to move forward and asked for my patience in regard to a refund as they were dealing with this situation. They said they would have my refund to me by the following week. On the following Wednesday, Mr. Hansen left me a message informing me that the paperwork was ready for my signature and to contact him to set an appointment. When I returned his call, his office informed me he was unavailable. At this point I had fired Mr. Hansen and was expecting a refund. I made an offer to the office and sent the same offer via mail to have Mr. Hansen pay the court filing fees out of the monies I had paid and keep the rest as his fee, my feelings being he had failed to represent me in any dealings so far. I sent a follow up letter informing Mr. Hansen that his failure to respond indicated he did not accept this offer and reiterated that I had fired him and was expecting a refund of all monies paid him. I have still not heard from, in any form, Mr. Hansen or his office. I am currently checking with the Washington State Bar Association for my options.
