Outcome: We filed a Chapter 7 bankruptcy and within one (1) week of filing, Client received a check for the entire amount garnished.
Outcome: We filed a Chapter 13 bankruptcy and "stripped off" the 2nd mortgage, allowing Clients to stop foreclosure and catch up on mortgage, while eliminating credit card and medical debts.
Outcome: It took almost 5 months (and a threat to file suit against the employer for violating bankruptcy laws), but we were able to get back the legally-due amount of garnished wages.
