I attended California State University , Chico and completed the Certified Paralegal Program. During this time I developed a love and passion for serving others and volunteered at Chico Legal Information Center and provided free voluntary services to those individuals in need.
I earned a Juris Doctor Degree from Cal Northern School of Law in Chico, California and became a member of the State Bar in November of 2002.
Prior to earning my Juris Doctor Degree I worked as a Paralegal for numerous Law Firms in Chico , Yuba City , Monterey and Santa Cruz California . In the 15 years employed as a Paralegal I acquired extensive experience in the areas of Criminal Defense, DUI, Personal Injury, Family Law, and Workers Compensation, under the direct supervision of highly skilled attorneys.
In 2002 I was hired as an Associate Attorney with Law Offices of Matthew E. Williamson, a Firm based in Monterey and Pebble Beach, California . In 2003 I became a full partner of the Chico based office and in 2004 the sole proprietor of what is today “Amaya & Associates Attorneys at Law.”
Over the last five years, my office has handled hundreds of DUI, Criminal Defense, Family Law and Personal Injury Cases. Our mission is to consistently provide clients with the most aggressive representation and to obtain the best possible outcomes by dedicating ourselves to investigating facts with the most extensive commitment to detail.

I am writing this to let you know how much she can help. She understands how to beat the DMV, fight to save your license in court, and save you money. Through her experience in court, she knows knows the judges and prosecutors that will be handling your case. This means her local knowledge of the courtroom will make sure you are treated with respect and your case is handled correctly from the beginning. I refer cases to her in Chico, CA and the surrounding counties because I know she will not let you down. If you want a serious DUI attorney that concentrates on this area of the law, she might be the only person that can keep you driving.

I, without reservation, fully endorse this lawyer. I have known her and worked on many joint cases with her over the years and can say that I have NEVER met a harder working attorney in all my experience. As far as I am concerned - from what I have directly observed - she cares more about her clients than any other in the Chico area. I seen her work weekend and evenings on a case going above an beyond in order to get the best deals for her clients. I've seen her on one case wait around an out of county courthouse to make sure the complicated orders were entered in the computer correctly for her client - had she not done so, they would have been wrong and she wasn't getting paid by the hour on the case and I know she made very little money on the case because she wanted to make sure it was done correctly. Most attorneys would have left and not stayed around and dealt with it later after it was discovered, but her experience told her not to. I have even sent my own relatives to her.
