People v. John Henry Bryant

Outcome: Complete acquittal on all counts.

Description: Defendant was charged in a highly publicized nightclub killing. There was a shoot out between two gangs at Bakersfield's largest and most popular nightspot. One of the gang members was killed and a bystander was injured. Eyewitnesses came forward to identify my client as one of the shooters. I impeached thier identification of my client by attacking their motives and by pointing to the inconsistencies between their versions and the physical circumstances. After five hours of deliberations, the jury acquitted my client on all counts and lesser offenses.
