After going through a very difficult period in which I acquired 2 DUI offenses within 2 weeks, Attorney Jimmy Cha was not phased by my complications. I accepted the flat fee rate but honestly had no idea what to expect. He was referred by a friend who went through a single DUI offense before and mentioned that he was the best. Given my own personal health issues, I went ahead and booked myself into treatment. At the treatment center, I was able to meet several people who had DUIs both in the past and currently pending. When I described getting two DUIs in 2 weeks, no one seemed to have had as complex of a case but all of them ended up with worse court sentencing. Again not knowing anything about this field, I was pleased to have had the opportunity to compare notes and realize what a great attorney Mr Cha is. The flat fee was also critical given how many questions and follow ups I put him through, which he never flinched or felt over burdened by and responded promptly. I don't wish anyone to have gone through what I have even though in the end I walked out with the mandatory minimum because of Mr Cha's strong strategic maneuvering. Good luck and god bless.

After a bad experience with a previous lawyer on my first DUI, I was very hesitant looking for a capable lawyer when I got a second DUI while still on probation from my first. I knew I was looking at jail time and I was a complete wreck. Through word of mouth, I thankfully found Attorney Jimmy Cha. I was happily surprised he called me back within minutes although it was very late. When I met with him for a free consultation, I knew within minutes that Jimmy Cha was the right choice. He was very professional and organized and explained the process efficiently, leaving no questions unanswered. He guided me through steps to help with my case and helped me calm my nerves. I was looking at 120 days jail and he got it lowered to 22 days of work release.!!

Unlike my first lawyer, Jimmy Cha always answered his phone and answered my questions, he always knew who I was and he knew my case inside out. This might seem like a small matter but when you have an absent lawyer who can't even remember your name, you're in trouble. The process is long and unnerving but having an attorney who knows what he is doing and you know and trust will work to the best of his abilities makes the difference.

Mr Cha took on my 2nd DUi that was received in orange county. I was arrested for a 0.01 BAC while under probation of the first DUI. Mr Cha was able to get my case thrown out of court, as well as fight the DMV to get my license back.

He was extremely professional throughout the whole process, and he was able to explain everything to me step by step. When i initially called him, it was fairly late in the evening (which i was surprised he answered) and he was more than happy to discuss my circumstances during that phone call, all without a guaranteed payment from me. He told me all of possibilities of what could happen flat out in the very beginning, and even encouraged me to call other lawyers and get their input on what I should do. I called two other lawyers, and after speaking to them I quickly realized Mr Cha was my man. He is a much easier person to talk to compared to other lawyers, both of which only wanted to talk about how much i was going to pay them before even getting into my situation.

Mr Cha took care of everything for me, including making all appointments, going to court for me as well as answer any and ALL of my questions during many phone calls. He is extremely intertwined with the OC courts and knows his stuff and people in these courtrooms. This gives him the advantage over other lawyers that do not deal with this system on a daily basis.

When it came time for the DMV administrative hearing, Mr. Cha thoroughly prepared me over half a dozen phone calls prior to the hearing and took any discomfort out of the situation. During the hearing, I was amazed to see how well prepared and organized he was with his objections and material to fight the DMV.

Leaving that court room put me on cloud 9. I was amazed that he was able to get everything swept out and I walked away without a scratch.

Jimmy Cha is an excellent Lawyer. He has represented me since 2008 till now, he has represented me for not one, not two, but for three dui's and has proven to me that he has the knowlendge to get what I need out of these cases. He adivse me to do things that has benefited me on my behalf which I am very grateful for. For this last Dui case the DA wanted to give me a year in jail but because it was a car accident and I got injured, Jail was not an option for me. Knowing that I would not get the proper care I needed for recovery. So I did not do any jail time. He has gotten me in a dui court program in lou of jail! After reviewing this program I am very grateful, for it will help me to sober up and continue to be sober throughout this entire program and mainly keep me out of jail!

I just had a probation violation and have to take 9 month alcohol program but no jail time or labor.

I had originally hired Jimmy Cha in May 2010 to obtain a restraining order after I had become a victim of domestic violence and criminal threats. I have a tendency to make poor decisions, but making the initial phone call to Jimmy was one of the best decisions I ever made. Not only did he help me tremendously by ensuring that I was totally prepared for the hearing, but he also help me deal with all the negative emotions that I was dealing with due to the trauma that resulted from the domestic violence.

Jimmy just walked me through my 3rd D.U.I. I didn't receive any jail time. On sentencing day the judge told me, " I have never seen anyone get the this kind of deal! You have a very good attorney who really went to bat for you." At the end of it all, that's what I really wanted was an attorney who would really step to the plate and go to bat for me. Being charged with DUI with accident and injury. I was looking at jail time and a lot of money. With his persistence, got my charges dropped to first time DUI with no injury. Also my BAC was .22 and should have been 9 months of DUI class but also got that down to .20 so I would only have to do 6 months. Jimmy was straight forward from the beginning and let me know what I needed to do way before I needed to do it. I recommend him to anyone with any criminal case.

Up until now I had never been on the wrong side of the law and I had no clue what to do or how to go about anything. A friend referred me to Jimmy Cha and after I made that first call, I knew I was in good hands.

I had been stressing/freaking out about the whole ordeal, but Jimmy put my mind and conscience at ease--he was very accepting and understanding of my situation. Mr. Cha has been extremely helpful in a couple cases for my husband. We are in the process of applying for a Visa for my husband and found out about 2 outstanding bench warrants in CA for failure to appear for traffic tickets. We live in SC and have been here for over 7 years.
I contacted Mr. Cha, explained the situation, that we had 2 bench warrants from '03 and '04 that we needed help with. I gave Mr. Cha the information that I had been able to dig up and he did some research and then told me what our worst case scenario and best case scenarios were. He was very straighforward and honest about what could happen and what was most likely to happen. Both bench warrants were recalled, including a $10,000 bail/warrant (we didn't have to pay a bail bondsman). And despite one case being rather complicated and potentially desastrous, we ended with $1200 in court fees and 1 yr probation. He mailed all court records (needed for the Visa stuff) and original receipts with an itemized sheet of costs and payments made. He was most trustworthy in handling the money we mailed for the court costs.
This was a unique case because we never met face to face, all contact was email and phone calls but he was always very prompt (and flexible) about returning phone calls and emails (despite the 3hr time difference).

There was a bail over my head and Mr. Jimmy Cha was able to keep my out of jail without posting bail. While Mr. Cha has less experience then a lot of the specialist lawyers, you wouldn't be able to tell by speaking with him, watching him work or his results. He helped me immensely with my Dui case and would recommend him to anyone. Very helpful, on Point, up to date and well informed.
