Roman M. Whittaker is a Partner with Anderholt Whittaker LLP.  After spending nearly a decade with Best Best & Krieger LLP, Roman teamed up with J. John Anderholt III, the son of long time Coachella Valley lawyer John Anderholt Jr., to form Anderholt Whittaker LLP.  Anderholt Whittaker LLP provides a broad range of business and real estate related legal services for individuals to small and large businesses alike. 


 


Roman's practice focuses primarily on entity formation, business planning, financing and structuring, and alter ego liability; trademarks and intellectual property; business transactions and litigation; renewable energy transactions and Power Purchase Agreements; private offerings and Private Placement Memoranda; trade secrets, business interference and unfair trade practices; business/partnership disputes and dissolutions; human resources, general labor and employment matters; real estate development and land use; common interest developments and HOA law; real estate transactions and litigation; real estate purchase contracts and disputes; distressed properties transactions and foreclosures; escrow disputes; construction contracts, construction defects and mechanic’s liens; commercial leasing and unlawful detainer; asset protection and high-stakes collections.

Roman has been personally invested in the Coachella Valley, both financially and philanthropically, since moving to Palm Desert in 1999.  He is a Past President of the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce and is active with the Chamber's Governmental Affairs Committee.  Roman is a founding board member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) - Inland Empire Chapter - Coachella Valley Branch [www.usgbccv.org] and the Desert Communities Fuller Center for Housing [http://www.fullercenter.org/palmdesertcalifornia], and has also served on the board of directors of Martha's Village & Kitchen [http://marthasvillage.org/new/]. 

Roman is a member of the American Bar Association, Desert Bar Association and American Inns of Court - Warren Slaughter Richard Roemer Chapter.  Roman serves as a court appointed arbitrator for the Riverside County Superior Court - Desert Bar Association's Mandatory Fee Arbitration Program and has been voted Top Lawyer three years running by Palm Springs Life Magazine.
