“It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men at their own choice, if the laws are so voluminous that they cannot be read or so incoherent that they cannot be understood”- James Madison
Dear Prospective Client:
Welcome; and thank you for your interest in my firm’s services. I appreciate that you have many choices when it comes to hiring quality legal representation. I am confident that your visit to Panagopoulos Law will be educational, productive, and fully meet or exceed your expectations. I want you to know that I personally review all email that comes into the firm. Your comments and feedback are always welcome.
The Madison quote above is an important message from our national archives that forecasts a concept that Madison knew a maturing America would have to grapple with. As we look around at the current landscape of the laws by which we govern ourselves, we see that James Madison was directly on point in his message: that if the laws we make become so voluminous and incoherent, that the ordinary People do not read and cannot understand them; they will have little value to the People, but to fertilize corruption and confusion.
Panagopoulos Law was founded on the premise that the law should be available to the People so that they may plan, grow and protect their lives, liberty, and pursuits of happiness. Our staff of legal experts is here to bring the law to the People, to our clients.
I look forward to visiting with you, and assisting you soon.
Mr. Dimitri Panagopoulos Esq.
Founder, Panagopoulos Law
Panagopoulos Law is a full service law firm focused and dedicated to the responsibility of ensuring the highest quality of justice for our clients in today’s complex legal environment.
We meet this responsibility by using a concerted approach that integrates the latest technology and research materials, with paramount client service standards, and professional collaboration amongst a solid core of networked professionals. Through this cutting edge approach we are able to effectively provide our clients with intelligent legal counseling, sound ethical guidance, and robust representation in their legal matters.
The Initial Conference
Panagopoulos Law believes that the initial meeting with the client is a very important phase in developing the attorney-client relationship. Clients will meet with their attorney who will listen, ask questions, discuss the matter, and advise the client. An initial conference at Panagopoulos Law generally includes as part of that service, a client memorandum that your attorney will mail to you that reiterates the advice given in your matter. This helps the client have better recall of the discussion if the matter requires being revisited in the future. As part of the initial conference, if the client desires, our firm will dispatch a position letter to the other parties involved. This puts them on notice that you have legal representation available, and informs them of your position in the matter. Finally, the initial conference includes a 15 minute follow up telephone conference with your lawyer. At Panagopoulos Law we believe that it is important for a client to have the comfort of knowing that their attorney is only a phone call away. Anytime a client confers with their attorney, and has a follow up question on that matter, there is never a charge for a brief follow up phone call.
Except for most personal injury consultations, & criminal law consultations, Panagopoulos Law generally charges a nominal fee for the comprehensive initial client conference. In many cases, if the client retains our firm for continuing service, we will waive that fee and apply those funds to the continuing services.
Our team of attorneys and investigators work in concert with one another to develop strategy, research, and analysis. Our efforts allow us to comfortably navigate through even the most complex legal matters that impact our clients. Our primary center of attention is planning, protecting, and defending the estates and businesses of our clients. Panagopoulos Law has three core practice sections each of which is directly related to our primary center of attention:
Estates & Businesses: This division helps clients with their business and estate planning needs including forming companies, reviewing and preparing contracts, preparing wills & trusts, devising strategic plans that will provide for fluid business succession, and estate management succession. In the course of this planning, we also factor in the client’s risk exposures and implement strategies that optimize the protection of the assets from the various risks to which it may be exposed.
Criminal Law: This division handles a broad range of select client matters including misdemeanors & felonies, and at all stages including preliminary matters, plea negotiations, trial, and appellate matters. Defending the accused is a fundamental necessity to protecting the client, the client’s family, and our system of justice on the whole.
Personal Injury: We represent clients, and in some instances their families, who have been victimized by someone else’s conduct, or by a product they put into the stream of commerce. Quite often an injury or wrongful death can jeopardize all that a person spent a lifetime building. We protect our clients.
