I Highly recommend Steve Estey

I received a significant settlement and I was so impressed! Steve Estey has been nothing but helpful to me and my family and took care of us when we needed someone to depend on. I highly recommend his firm if you have been injured in an accident.

Simply Brilliant!

Steve is a very good and very smart lawyer. He helped me get an amazing settlement after I was very badly hurt in a car accident. He is professional and courteous and I really liked having him as my attorney. I was always kept informed of what was going on with the case.

Public reproval with/duties issued in CA, 1998

updated on 08/24/2017

A censure or reprimand issued by the Supreme Court or the State Bar Court that is not a matter of public record unless imposed after the initiation of formal disciplinary proceedings. No period of suspension is imposed. The reproval may be imposed with duties or conditions.

Stephen’s comment:

““No good deed goes unpunished”. We all make mistakes; hopefully we learn. In 1995, just out of law school, my client was selling a business and the funds were in my escrow account. As a favor, I post-dated a check for him to hold (electronic transfer options were less prevalent). The deal never went through; I put a stop on the check but the client had deposited it early and his bank had failed to notice the date. In the decades since, I have taken steps to prevent any similar issues.”

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline
This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 1998
Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
