William primarily practices law in the areas of criminal defense, civil litigation, primarily personal injury and real estate law, bankruptcy, and appeals. His real estate experience includes, but is not limited to: foreclosure defense, title disputes (including tax deeds) and landlord/tenant matters. He also has experience with short-sale negotiations and post-conviction appeals. With over 15 years of experience in various business management, sales, auditing, and financial-related positions, William has a broad span of knowledge to assist clients with their business formation and consulting needs as well. William is licensed to practice law in all Idaho State and Federal Courts.
William graduated Cum Laude from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan. He attended classes on nights and weekends for almost three years while working full time in the pharmaceutical industry and balancing his obligations as a husband and father of three wonderful children. After a corporate downsizing, William was able to attend his final two semesters without the added full-time career to balance. He earned two Certificates of Merit and a 3.9 GPA during that time. His law school achievements include four Certificates of Merit, two semesters on Law Review, two semesters serving on the Cooley Innocence Project, and a final class ranking of 10.2%. William is currently a member in good standing with the Idaho State Bar Association, for which he is a member of both the Real Property and Commerical Law & Bankruptcy Sections. William is also a member of the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association and the Idaho Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is a past member of the American Inn of Court No. 130 and the American Bar Assocation.
William grew up in Owosso, a bedroom community in mid-Michigan. He served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and worked 2-3 jobs at a time while earning his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Michigan. He has worked as a political campaign manager, a reverse sales and use Tax Auditor, an assembly-line worker and later a Supervisor at General Motors, an outside Sales Representative and Retail Division Manager for a small manufacturer’s representative agency, and then spent 10 years in various Sales and Management positions in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
William enjoys travelling, football, hunting, fishing, and boating.
