An admonition means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The Bar gives the lawyer an admonition in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
Michael’s comment: “The informal admonition related to my inadvertant failure to update an application to appear before the Arizona Corporation Commission, a state agency, in an administrative proceeding. My application was granted but later withdrew. According to the District of Columbia Bar, I was required to update the application before withdrawing.. The Colorado Bar and the Arizona Bar disagreed with this ruling, and I did not receive any admonition from either Bar”
