Brandon Todd Hudson

About Me

Brandon T. Hudson is a San Antonio board certified criminal defense lawyer who has concentrated his law practice on criminal law. Mr. Hudson grew up in San Antonio. He obtained his bachelor's degree in from Baylor University and he earned his law degree from St.Mary's University School of Law. He has been licensed to practice law in the State of Texas since 1998 by the Texas Supreme Court. He is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Mr. Hudson is a former law clerk for the Bexar County District Attorney's Office and worked at a boutique litigation San Antonio law firm. Knowing that he wanted to devote his career to being a trial attorney, Mr. Hudson began working in the Bexar County District Attorney's Office in 1998 soon after passing the Texas Bar Exam.

Mr. Hudson left the Bexar County D.A.'s office and became the First Chair Felony Prosecutor (the highest rank a prosecutor can attain at the trial level) for Karnes, Wilson, LaSalle, Atascosa and Frio counties. During his tenure as a prosecutor, Mr. Hudson tried jury trials of all levels of offenses, including several death penalty cases. He gained invaluable experience in every substantive area of the D.A.'s office, including DWI, misdemeanor offenses, felony offenses, white collar crime, family violence cases and juvenile law. Many of the sitting judges in the counties Brandon practices in are judges Mr. Hudson either tried cases in front of or are former partners or associates of his from the District Attorney's Office.

While an assistant criminal district attorney, Mr. Hudson applied for and was accepted into the prestigious trial advocacy training program at the National District Attorneys Association in Columbia, South Carolina. He has been selected as one of San Antonio's Best Criminal Defense Lawyer's by his peers in SCENE in SA Magazine for 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Mr. Hudson left the D.A.'s office in 2007 to join the established criminal defense practice of Douglas S. Daniel. A frequent opponent of Brandon's, Douglas S. Daniel represented his clients with the same aggressiveness Brandon felt was necessary to secure dismissals and not guilty verdicts. Together they handle a wide variety of misdemeanor, felony, federal and juvenile cases. Brandon has represented individuals seeking to expunge or seal their criminal or juvenile records. He is a member of various criminal defense organizations to ensure that all of his clients receive the best, and most up to date, legal representation possible. Mr. Hudson is licensed to practice law in all state courts in Texas as well as in the federal courts of Texas.
