Description: After his business partner in the lease and operation of an oil rig refused to share any profits and hid the operations' records from him, my client filed suit for fraud. The evidence obtained in discovery showed that profits from the venture were wire transferred without my client's knowledge to the personal account of the defendant and his wife. Defendants and their counsel argued that they did nothing wrong. The suit was tried for three days in Federal court in Tyler, Texas. The jury awarded my client all of his actual damages, in addition to $ 8 million in punitive damages.
