About Me

I am a Dallas attorney born and raised in Minden, Louisiana, located in Webster Parish in Northwest Louisiana. I finished my high school education in Austin and stayed to earn my undergraduate degree in 1991 from the University of Texas. Still being considered a Louisiana resident, I chose to go to law school at LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center and graduated with my law degree in 1994. After taking the Louisiana Bar Exam and while waiting for my law license and admittance to the Louisiana State Bar Association, I accepted a position as a law clerk and briefing attorney for the Second Circuit Court of Appeal in Shreveport. The following year I joined the law firm of Nelson, Hammons & Self in downtown Shreveport where I worked for five years and gained a tremendous amount knowledge about medicine and law while handling primarily medical malpractice cases across the state of Louisiana. In 2000, I obtained my Texas law license and moved to Dallas where I joined The Ashmore Law Firm and continued representing people injured by the negligence of others.
