Professional Misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.

  1. Public Reprimand
    issued in TX, 2007

Public reprimand means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The State gives the lawyer a public reprimand in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior. Details of the infraction are made part of the public record.

Billy’s comment: “On January 26, 2007, I received a public reprimand. The District 6-A Grievance Committee found that the complainant in the grievance was a former employee of my firm. After the complainant left the firm, I used her notary public stamp. The District 6-A Grievance Committee found that I had violated Rule 8.04(a)(3). I was further ordered to pay $1,015.00 in attorney’s fees. Since being licensed in 1998, I have never had a grievance sustained against me by a client .”
