About me


Scott Davis joined Mayer Brown in 1977 and became a partner in 1983. He was formerly the firm's US head of mergers and acquisitions and a practice leader for the firm's Corporate & Securities practice. His present role at Mayer Brown is primarily to do internal, non-client work, including supervising the training of a number of US associates in corporate and securities matters.


Scott is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago Law School and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He was previously a member of the Chicago Police Board, which decides misconduct cases brought against Chicago police officers and selects candidates for Superintendent of Police when there is a vacancy in that office
