About Me

Born in Pennsylvania, I attended Penn State and in 1978, I came to Chicago for law school.  I started work as an attorney for Dowd & Dowd  in workers compensation defense and since that time my practice has been devoted almost entirely to workers compensation and work injury litigation.

Legal decisions can and should be based upon a good, sound game plan that includes a review of available options for litigation.  Call it intelligent planning or informed coaching, the result is the same.  You can't win without a good legal coach and a good game plan.

Over the past 25 years, we have helped major corporations reduce their loss runs and we have helped injured workers in nearly every occupation, in all types of work injury and with all types of medical disability.

We provide real world options for litigation, intelligent planning and representation in Illinois workers compensation and related work injury litigation.

  • Stephen Laurence Hoffman

I endorse this lawyer's work. Brad is the encyclopedia I turn to for all things related to workers' compensation. I've seen him speak on a number of occasions at bar association functions and seminars and he is very knowledgable about many obscure areas involved in this area, especially his demonstrable expertise on Medicare and how it relates to workers' compensation. Brad is always more than willing to answer questions from fellow attorneys and has been instrumental in mentoring me through some difficult and rather arcane issues concerning Medicare. I highly endorse Brad Bleakney because he is a terrific lawyer, has expertise in many areas related to workers' compensation, and a generous willingness to assist fellow practitioners in their own practices.

  • Richard K. Johnson

I endorse this lawyer. Brad and I have been on the opposite side of a number of cases. He is a tough, well prepared litigator. His knowledge of the law is superior, making him a formidable opponent.
