Our goal is to provide you with quality service today! Teller, Levit and Silvertrust, P.C. (founded in 1920 by Caroll Teller, Louis Levit and Leon Silvertrust) has specialized in the practice of commercial law since its inception. From its headquarters in the heart of Chicago, TL&S serves commercial creditors throughout the United States and internationally.

Mr. Margolis is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honors in 1965 and his Juris Doctor Degree in 1968. His areas of concentration include the handling of trials and appeals in the Illinois State and Federal Courts and the defense of preference actions in the United States Bankruptcy Court.

Mr. Margolis is a frequent guest speaker at the Chicago Bar Association and the Commercial Law League of America on topics relating to civil practice and commercial law.

He has also written numerous legal articles in the areas of civil practice and commercial law for the Illinois Bar Journal, The Commercial Law League Journal (Debt3) and The Chicago Lawyer, as well as general feature articles published in Chicagoland Magazine, the JUF News, and the Chicago Sun Times. Mr. Margolis is a member of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists and the featured political cartoonist on . Mr. Margolis holds membership in: Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and Commercial Law League of America. He holds an “AV” rating with Martindale-Hubbell.
