Outcome: Class X Felony Charges Dropped by Prosecutor

Description: Defendant was randomly stopped by police while crossing the street then searched. A small amount of cannabis was found in his jacket then defendant "consented" to a police search of his home where a much larger quantity of drugs were found. After Ruben Sanmiguel argued a motion to quash arrest the judge found the police improperly stopped and violated defendant's constitutional rights. All evidence obtained by police after the bad stop was supressed. All charges were subsequently dropped by the prosecutor.
