About David
Biography
David was born into humble circumstances. He never forgot the values he learned growing up. His parents, who have been married for over 65 years, had 6 children. David put himself through college and law school. He never forgot about where he came from or the hard work it has taken to get where he is today.
Following graduation from law school he was honored to serve as the Law Clerk to the Cheif Justice of the South Dakota Supreme Court. While clerking David gained vast and invaluable experience writing briefs, memoranda, researching and writing. Following his clerkship, he worked at a corporate law firm handling corporate litigation, collection matters, estate litigtion, trials, hearings and appeals. Since 1995 David has concentrated his practice in personal injury, auto accidents, workers compenstion claims, insurance disputes and Social Security Disability matters. David has nearly 30 years of active practice in the courts of South Dakota and Iowa. He has handled cases successfully from magistrate court, to District Court, Circuit Court, workers compensation courts, and appeals of cases through the Sureme Court. He is a fighter. He will stand up and fight for his clients. He is not afraid of the insurance companies and their legions of lawyers. He has beaten them all and will do so again.
David has been selected and honored to receive awards including America's Most Honored Professionals, The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 attorneys, Who's Who Top Lawyer, Reu ratings Best Lawyers recognition, and many others. He has been published in the South Dakota Law Review. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the State Bar of Iowa, the State Bar of South Dakota, the Second Judicial Bar Association, the Iowa Association for Justice, and the South Dakota Trial Lawyers Association.
David has been married for over 20 years to his wife, Anne. They have 3 beautiful children and 2 dogs.
