After graduating from Stetson Law School in 1992, I immediately began my career in criminal law as an Assistant State Attorney in Hillsborough County, Tampa, Florida. I served for sixteen years, rising through the ranks to become a Felony Division Chief, responsible for thousands of cases and training and supervising hundreds of new attorneys.
I prosecuted over 7,000 cases during the course of my prosecution career including every type of crime from DUI, Trafficking in Cocaine, Robbery, Aggravated Child Abuse, Aggravated Battery, to First Degree Murder. I personally handled over 200 Non-Jury Trials and over 100 Jury Trials.
In January of 2004, I took on the task of creating and supervising the first Traffic Homicide Unit in Hillsborough County. For the next five years, I specialized in prosecuting every traffic homicide that occurred in Hillsborough County. Those hundreds of cases included DUI Manslaughters, No Valid Driver's Licenses with Death, Vehicular Homicides, Leaving the Scenes with Death, Manslaughters, and Murders.
In 2008, I retired from the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office at the pinacle of my prosecution career to begin my own law practice specializing in criminal defense. I formed Kim Seace P.A. and fulfilled my dream of being my own boss. I look forward to putting all my training, knowledge, and experience to work for you.
