Jeff has represented my case for the past 1 ½ years by assisting with ongoing child support and visitation issues post-divorce. If you are looking for an attorney you can talk directly to (at least via email) and get quick response without the buffer of a paralegal, Jeff is an excellent fit. He will provide advice and counsel; but in the end will also listen and act as his client requests. Overall, I have been happy with the services provided, his attempts to limit wasted efforts, and friendly staff. While Jeff will fight for your position, he does not use bull-dog tactics to "fuel the fire" (which helps to keep expenses to a minimum and usually helps no one). His tactics are fair, ethical, and strategically-defined toward future results. In court, Jeff makes a professional and logical stance; however, deposition of court room witnesses could use some additional up-front preparation.
Pros: Communicates directly with his clients, High Ethical Standard, listens to his clients, keeps his clients informed, will not nickel-and-dime his clients; detailed billing statements; professional court-room presence
Cons: Computer Tools (conversions to electronic media is somewhat clunky; each page sent as a separate file)
Mr. Thompson has been our attorney for over three years. His expertise in the practice of Home Owner Association law gives our Board the confidence that we are being well advised and represented in every situation. Jeff has handled a number of legal issues for us including Collections, Amending Covenants, Insurance Claims, Rule Infractions, etc. He realizes that most HOA Boards of Directors are made up of inexperienced volunteers and he uses good common sense when working with these clients, always making sure that they thoroughly understand the legal issues.
