William R. Ponall is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Criminal Appellate Law. He is one of fewer than 25 private attorneys in the State of Florida who holds that designation.
Prior to entering private practice, he was a Staff Attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He has extensive experience handling State and Federal criminal appeals and postconviction matters. He also has significant experience litigating against the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles in the appellate courts on issues concerning driver's license suspensions and revocations.
Mr. Ponall has had numerous scholary articles, addressing both substantive crimnal law and criminal appeals, published in various magazines and journals. Mr. Ponall graduated with honors from the University of Florida and the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
He is currently the President of the Central Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and a member of the Board of Directors for the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
When he is not practicing law, Mr. Ponall enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys playing tennis, fishing, movies, and reading.
