    • I do not recommend Maxine Blackwell.

Maxine Blackwell for some reason took a dislike to me in court because I can't hear properly. She even stated to the judge " He CLAIMS to be hard of hearing" She would not allow me any chance to pay my taxes. ( I could not pay all at once because of bankruptcy) she told the judge to put me on "probation" and then started talking about drug rehab, denying me travel etc. like I was a thief, or a drug addict. I was now going to have to pay twice what the taxes were and am treated horrible... because I filed bankruptcy..... can't stand her.

    • I recommend Maxine Blackwell.
    • I hired Maxine more than 3 years ago.
    • Maxine handled my Violent Crime matter.
    • I have previously worked with 1-2 lawyers.

I, unfortunately, have been on both sides of the law with her. First, I had some anger issues and went to her for prosecution. I was angry at her at first because she wasnt listening to my side of the story. After arguing iwth her for a few minutes, she accused me of being on drugs and ordered me to take a drug test. When nothing showed up, as i knew it would, she then began to see me as a person with a story- not some angry, messed up teenager. After hearing my side of the story she then began to help me. She worked quickly and proficiently. Part of my "sentence" was to volunteer to work in her office. I got to see what she does on a daily basis and i learned alot about her and her line of work. She helps so many people in so many ways. She is a great victim's advocate for domestic abuse. I had to return to see her shortly after "serving my sentence" because now i was the victim. I was attacked and beaten by my alcoholic father and she worked quickly in getting me protection and ordering a warrant for his arrest. She spoke with him and saw that the punishment fit the crime- as she did with me. she is strict and firm but fair. You may not like what she has to say but she tells the truth. I would definately recommend going to her for your needs.
