Stay away from this lawyer. He took me for $12K in my divorce, and had to start over with new lawyer. Mr. Shriver did not act in my best interest or take action in a timely manner; because of his ineptness, poor judgement, and indecision, he did irreparable damage to my case. Go with someone else and spare yourself the trouble and $$$.
The approach from the other side was ugly/vigorous/hardball and dishonest, and rolled over us. Probably just not suited to a down & dirty fight, maybe marvelous in all other scenarios but not aggressive. Nice and likeable guy.
My husband wrote the previous review for Mr. Shriver before our court date. I agree with everything my husband stated, and can't express enough how thankful we are that we chose Mr. Shriver as our lawyer. He was caring, attentive, and on point. He got us exactly what we asked for.
Mark was not the first attorney I consulted for my case, but after I spoke with him he was the last. I had a rather complicated case that evolved as we were going into something else. I was very pleased with the way even when my case was slightly out of his area of focus by how it evolved he brought in a consultant that v was a perfect fit between three two of them. This was not a large case but I still got the attention needed regardless. I would definitely recommend Mark to others.
Mr. Shriver & his staff were compassionate, efficient and 'on top' of my case from the very beginning. He promptly returned my calls and responded to my concerns. He continually followed up with the opposing attorney in an attempt to resolve my case expeditiously and fairly. He made a horrible experience bearable.
This lawyer was highly unresponsive to our time sensitive needs after he was engaged and paid in full up front. Out time sensitive needs for a legal document within two weeks were made clear up front and he accepted the engagement without any indication that he did not have the time or interest in concluding it on the time basis required. He was totally unresponsive to several emails and phone calls requesting responses. Though he took at least two long weekends off work (one for a golf tournament) right after accepting our money, he had no time for even a courtesy response or meeting his ethical obligations to clients. Our critical time frames were not met and we were economically and emotionally harmed by the disregard of our needs. We have written documentation of these failures. We terminated this lawyer without having received the critical services and have demanded a refund of our fees. This attorney's disconnect with us was overwhelming.
